AMPERE Presents at HiPEAC 2023's Workshop on Adaptive CPSoS
BSC researcher, Sara Royuela, presented the Ampere project at HiPEAC 2023 within the Workshop on Adaptive CPSoS on 18 January 2023. This workshop discussed the challenges and solutions related to outstanding CPSoS challenges, namely solutions that explore the possibility of dynamically reconfiguring or adapting the system, focusing on aspects spanning from design to verification and validation. The Ampere Project explained how it is seeking to bridge the gap between the model driven engineering used to develop dependable and physically-entangled systems and the parallel programming models and run-time frameworks supported by current energy-efficient parallel heterogeneous platforms. The presentation also highlighted the project's automotive and railway use cases and the use case deployment. The automotive use case tests Predictive Cruise Control (PCC) and extends Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) by calculating the vehicle’s future velocity curve. The railway use case tests Obstacle Detection and Avoidance System (ODAS) functionalities based on data fusion that comes from tram vehicle sensors. The Ampere slides presented at the workshop can be found here.
